Lumenion was founded in 2015 in Berlin. Today Lumenion has 15 employees. We develop high temperature grid scale storage systems to deliver heat and electricity to industries, public utilities and communities – reliably and sustainably.


Alexander Voigt
Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Alexander Voigt is a Physicist. Over the last 30 years, Alex worked as founder, chairman and board member for major international and German renewable sector companies. The common goal of all his business activities was and remains the development of a competitively viable CO2-free energy supply. As a result of his drive and experiences, he founded Lumenion and GRIPS in 2015.

Andrew Zwinkels
Chief Technology Officer

Andrew is an electrical engineer with over 15 years of experience working on systems for the storage of renewable energy. In this area he led multiple pilot projects and participated in various international projects in developing new storage concepts. At Lumenion he is mainly responsible for the development and patenting of large-scale energy storage solutions for renewables.

Marcel Gallé
Head of Finance

Marcel Gallé holds a master‘s degree in business administration and has worked in the energy storage sector since 2013. He helped to grow a battery storage pioneer with his work in finance & controlling, corporate development and project finance. Prior to that, he worked for an auditing firm. After studying in Germany and England, he began his career in the banking sector. Marcel Gallé is in charge of finance at Lumenion.

Ulrich Prochaska
Head of Sales

Ulrich Prochaska is an energy engineer and has been working to develop and introduce renewable and rational energy generation since 1984. Having been responsible for implementing projects in the PV, wind, storage and CHP technology sectors worldwide, he has significant expertise and an extensive network for implementing infrastructural measures of this kind. Ulrich Prochaska is responsible for project business at Lumenion.
